The upper hutch is divided into two sections. On the left, a sliding white door with a round black knob closes off the top compartment for concealed storage. Beside and below it, open shelving is arranged into multiple compartments a wider open shelf on the left holding books, and a narrower divided section on the right with two smaller compartments for books and small items.

The desktop below is a flat, open surface, backed by two wide drawers fitted with silver bar handles, running side by side across the front of the desk. The frame stands on four solid wood panel legs with an open leg space in the middle, and a cable-routing hole is built into the top-left side of the hutch for wire management.
