Rather than a single continuous material, this design moves through three distinct sections along its length, a solid stone corner, a warm backlit wood-slat run, and a raised marble plinth, so the eye travels across the counter instead of resting on one flat surface. The oak slats are lit from behind, giving the center of the desk a soft glow that carries the counter’s main visual weight, while the stone sections at either end ground the design and add weight and contrast.
